Renewable energies create emission-free electricity and thus preserve the environment and its resources. Governments around the world agree that energy transformation towards renewable energies must be achieved within the next two or three decades. Thereby, green energy has already today emerged into an important industrial sector, generating an annual turnover of about € 29 billion in Germany alone. At the same time, it belongs to one of the fastest growing markets. Investment in green energy, therefore, has perspective character and is in every sense sustainable. This already has a long tradition with us: For generations, the Howaldt name has already been associated with investment in innovation and sustainability, ever since the first German hydropower plants were put to use in 1904. Now, about 100 years later, our focus is on photovoltaics.
